About Z-Laundry
Z-Laundry is a technology-based operation utilizing digital technology in the garment care market to bridge the quality and convenience gap for clients seeking to receive real value-for-money service. Z-Laundry is owned, managed, and operated by Mercado Egypt SAE – a technology investment firm seeking innovation and digital transformation of conventional consumer services in Egypt and the MENA region. Mercado Egypt SAE is the sole owner of all legal rights of Z-Laundry and its related service as detailed below in the Terms and Conditions. Thus, for the purpose of these Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy, all references to Z-Laundry in all contexts shall mean legal references to Mercado Egypt SAE.
Terms and Conditions:
The below Terms and Conditions of and Conditions shall govern your use of “Z-Laundry” mobile app (referred to as the “App”), and/or other online or offline communications (collectively referred to as, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree, without limitation or qualification, to become bound by these Terms and Conditions and the Z-Laundry Privacy Policy which founds a contractual relationship between you and Z-Laundry. You should review the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy before supplying us with any personal and/or other information. If you do not agree, do not use the App, or any other Services provided by us. Z-Laundry may, at its sole discretion, modify these Terms and Conditions & Conditions from at any time, and/or from time to time. Your continued use and access of the Services shall indicate your acceptance of those changes, and your agreement to comply with all applicable laws and regulations that govern your relationship with Z-Laundry.
1- Services
Z-Laundry provides pick-up and delivery services for press, dry cleaning, laundry, and related services. Z-Laundry cooperates with an array of laundry service providers (referred to as "Providers") for ironing and cleaning (referred to as "Processing") clothes and other items that you give Z-Laundry for Processing. Pick-up and delivery may be requested through our App, or directly through phone or email.
2- Use of App
User Requirements
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Z-Laundry Services in any manner. By using the Services and/or accepting these Terms and Conditions, you certify that you are 18 years or older, and that you have the legal right, authority, and capacity to accept, and be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Z-Laundry alone shall own all right, title and interest, including all related intellectual property rights, in and to the Services, including all text, graphics, images, photographs, illustrations, trademarks, trade names, service marks, logos, information obtained from Z-Laundry’s licensors, and other materials. These Terms and Conditions do not grant you, by any means, any rights of ownership in or related to the Services or the Content. Z-Laundry name and logo are trademarks of Z-Laundry and no right or license is granted to use them. By using the Application or the Service, you further agree that:
- You will provide us with whatever proof of identity we may reasonably request, or which may be required by applicable laws and regulations
- You will only download and use the App or use the Services for personal use and will not resell it to a third party.
- You will not authorize others to use your account
- You will not assign or otherwise transfer your account to any other person or legal entity.
- You will not use an account that is subject to any rights of a person other than you without appropriate authorization
- You will not use the Services for unlawful purposes, including but not limited to, sending or storing any unlawful material or for fraudulent purposes
- You will not use the Services to cause nuisance or inconvenience to others
- You will not impair the proper operation of the network by any means
- You will not try to harm the App or the Services in any possible way
- You will not copy, or distribute the App, or other Z-Laundry Content without written permission from Z-Laundry
- You will keep secure and confidential your account password or any identification we provide you with which allows access to the Services
- You will not use the Services with an incompatible or unauthorized device.
- You will comply with all applicable laws while using the Services
- You will always keep App notifications open to receive important information about the use of service, your orders, and other information which may apply later on
User Sign-up and Account
You may only access the Services using authorized means. It is your responsibility to check to ensure you download the correct App for your device. Z-Laundry is not responsible if you do not have a compatible mobile device or if you download the wrong version of the App for your mobile device. To use the Services, you must first sign up with Z-Laundry. When signing up, we request that you provide certain personal information so that we can provide you with the requested Services (such information may include name, mobile phone number, email address, address for pick-up and delivery, and other special requests). By successfully signing up with Z-Laundry, you will be able to create and access your account by inputting your mobile phone number and verifying it using a confirmation code sent to your phone number which will become your registered phone number with us. The personal information you submit to Z-Laundry is governed by the Privacy Policy. Should any conflicting terms arise between the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy shall supersede any conflicting terms in these Terms and Conditions. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for restricting access to your devices. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account. Z-Laundry reserves the right to terminate accounts, remove or edit any content, cancel orders, or terminate accounts in its sole discretion.
3- Item Count and Inspection
Z-Laundry’s pickup agent will pick up your items in the designated custom bags. On the App, you can either enter the exact number of items to be added to the cart at the time of order or choose the approximate number of items. In either case, the agent will perform an item type inspection, and will update the system with the count shortly after pickup so you will be able to see the final count on your account. You have the right to debate and refuse the count at the time of pickup and within the following 30 (thirty) minutes from pickup. If you completely refuse the count, you can either notify us via in-App message or phone call to cancel the order or simply accept item count which will be final and cannot be refuted later. However, after the pass of the 30 minutes from pickup, the count cannot be debated and/or refused, and in such case, you only have the option to notify us to cancel the order via the means mentioned above. If you choose to cancel the order, either within, or after the 30-minute interval, your items shall be returned back to you and a cancellation fee apply. The count at pickup does not include item inspection for stains and/or existing damages. Detailed inspection will take place when the order is brought back to the facility. If any defects, damages, or stains are found, you will be notified before your order is processed. You have the right to debate the outcome of the inspection within the following 30 (thirty) minutes from receiving the detailed inspection notification. If we are not notified of your comments within such period, we will suspend the processing items we deem unworkable to be processed, and in such case, those items will be delivered back to you with the order without processing. However, in case you notify us via in-App messaging or phone call of your willingness to process those unworkable items before the dispatch of your order from the facility, we will go ahead with processing your items according to the rules set forth in clause (4) hereinbelow, but we do not guarantee to finalize and deliver those particular items with the original order. Hence, they will be aggregated into a new separate order on your account and will be dispatched and delivered to you the next day. If you completely refuse item inspection and would like to cancel the entire order, a cancellation fee will apply according to the terms detailed in clause (7) below. Notwithstanding the, Z-Laundry reserves the right to refuse processing one or more items at its own discretion.
4- Processing
Z-Laundry follows the care label instructions on each item that is processed. If no label is available, our experts will determine the correct procedure for washing/cleaning based on their experience and care standards of similar garments after receiving your consent to proceed. If you request garment treatment which is contradictory to that indicated on the care label instructions, Z-Laundry will contact you and advise on the potential risks associated with proceeding with the treatment. If Z-Laundry is unable to obtain your approval to proceed, Z-Laundry shall decline the processing of such item. If you authorize Z-Laundry to proceed, you will assume full responsibility for any damage to such item, and you will waive your right for any indemnification according to section "Liability". If our experts find an item is abnormally difficult to process according to the care label or to our expertise, we will exert all possible efforts to process it using normal processing at no extra cost. However, if the processing of the item is unachievable using normal processing, we will inform you to obtain your approval to proceed at additional cost.
5- Liability
Z-Laundry follows strict measures to ensure your items are being handled with utmost care and attention. In that course, all items received are properly registered by codes and images on our system to be closely tracked, monitored and properly attended to. However, you understand that there are risks associated with Garment Care and it is possible for items to be damaged or lost during processing. Z-Laundry will exercise all possible measure to ensure situations like that do not take place. However, in the unlikely event that items are lost or damaged and Z-Laundry knows of it, we will immediately bring this to your attention to rectify the situation as detailed below. However, if such situation is unidentified by Z-Laundry at the time of its occurrence, we will do our best to rectify the situation as detailed below upon receiving a written notification by you bringing the situation to our knowledge, either by email (support@z-laundry.com), or phone. Without prejudice to the foregoing, and insofar as allowed under mandatory applicable law, Z-Laundry’s aggregate liability shall be:
• Full replacement of similar lost or damaged item with a maximum market value of EGP 3000, or
• a monetary reimbursement equivalent to 30 times the price of service of that item at a maximum reimbursement of EGP 3000 if its market value is more than EGP 3000, or item is not readily available in the market. To proceed, you need to submit the damaged item to our team.
In case you are not satisfied with the quality of service, you have the right place a complaint within 24 hours from receiving back your items. We will pick-up your items back and reprocess them at no extra cost. No complaints will be accepted after the pass of 24 hours from receiving back your items.
6- Payment
Payment for download and use of the App is free of charge. However, Z-Laundry reserves the right to introduce a fee for the use of these Services at its sole discretion. If such a fee is decided, Z-Laundry will inform you accordingly and allow you to either continue to use the Services or terminate them. For now, Z-Laundry only charges for the services requested by you through the App, which may include Ironing, dry clean, wash, cleaning, and/or related services (referred to as "Garment Care"). You agree that you will pay for all Garment Care you request from Z-Laundry, and that Z-Laundry may charge you when registering for the Services for the Garment Care (including VAT, official fees, or additional fees as applicable) that may be accrued by or in connection with your orders. You are responsible for the timely payment of all fees and for providing Z-Laundry with payment of all fees upon completion of the service. Any payment made is non-refundable. You will receive an in-App, and/or an email detailed invoice with all the charges associated with your order and the due amount less any promotional discounts where applicable. If you find any discrepancy with order details and/or invoice, you should contact us immediately and inform the Z-Laundry team of that discrepancy. All payments will be settled in cash upon delivery of your items. Z-Laundry may use a third-party payment processor ("Payment Processor") to link your credit card account to the Services. The processing of payments or in connection with your use of the Services will be subject to the terms and privacy policies of the Payment Processor and your credit card issuer in addition to these Terms and Conditions. Z-Laundry will not be responsible for any errors by the Payment Processor, should any issues arise from the use of your credit card by the Payment Processer
7- Order Cancellation
It is your right to cancel any order after placing it on the App, before or within the open pick-up time slots for ordering, and as depicted in clause (3) for order cancellation allowances. However, in case you choose to cancel the order after the close of the pick-up time slot, or beyond the time allowed for cancellation as depicted in clause (3) a cancellation fee will apply in connection with clause 6 of these Terms and Conditions. This cancellation fee will either be deducted directly from your credit card listed on the App, or through a cash settlement added to your next order receipt.
8- Promotions
Any and all offers, discounts or promotions advertised on the Services are void where prohibited and are subject to the related rules and conditions to such promotions or offers.
9- Indemnification
By accepting the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy set forth and using the App or the Services, you agree that you shall defend, indemnify and hold Z-Laundry, any of its affiliates, its licensors, and each of their officers, directors, other users, employees, attorneys, agents and suppliers harmless from and against any and all claims, costs, damages, losses, liabilities and expenses (including attorneys’ fees and costs) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your violation or breach of any term of the Terms and Conditions or any applicable law or regulation, whether or not referenced herein; (b) your violation of any rights of any third party, or (c) your misuse of the App or the Services.
